The ninth house covers long journeys, foreign places, universities, law, religion and philosophy — everything requiring you to leave what you already know.
It pairs with the third, which covers the near version of the same functions. The third is the local school and the daily commute; the ninth is the foreign university and the long flight.
The unifying idea is the search for a larger frame rather than travel as such.
Reading a Planet Here
Jupiter is at home and reads as a strong pull toward meaning, teaching and distance. The Sun here reads as identity organised around belief or exploration.
