Gemini is mutable air ruled by Mercury: the sign of information moving. It thinks by talking, learns by sampling, and holds several contradictory positions at once without discomfort. The famous changeability is real but usually misdescribed — Gemini is not insincere, it is genuinely interested in more things than one life comfortably accommodates.
Gemini needs to be interested before it can be devoted, and it stays for conversation more than for anything else. Boredom is the real risk, not temptation. A partner who keeps producing new material — thoughts, plans, arguments worth having — holds a Gemini far longer than one who simply keeps producing reassurance.
Gemini does its best work where variety is structural rather than a perk: writing, teaching, selling, brokering, anything that rewards fast comprehension and turning things over quickly. It goes visibly flat in narrow, repetitive roles. Two half-projects running simultaneously often outproduce one, which no manager believes until they see it.
Income is often plural and irregular, which suits Gemini and alarms everybody advising it. Spending goes on curiosity — books, courses, subscriptions, the thing that looked interesting on Tuesday. The financial weakness is not extravagance but inattention; Gemini loses money by not looking rather than by overspending.
