Where no such context exists, the symbolic reading becomes more interesting. The order of operations matters: rule out the literal before reaching for the figurative.

Some traditions read baby dreams as omens concerning conception, and this remains widespread in popular material.
There is no basis for it, and it can be genuinely painful for people trying to conceive or dealing with loss. It is recorded here only because you will encounter it elsewhere.
